Producers Suzanne DeLaurentiis, Regina Reńe Lines and Everette Wallin are scheduled to go into production in late 2019, for the epic drama/love story that surrounds the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire that took the lives of over 140 women and men.
It is written by Oscar-nominated screenwriter Stephen J. Rivele (Nixon, Ali), created by Suzanne DeLaurentiis, story by Everette Wallin and additional writing by Tricia Aurand, Suzanne DeLaurentiis and Regina Reńe Lines.
“I was so moved when I saw a documentary a few years ago about the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire,” says producer Suzanne DeLaurentiis, “I felt compelled to do something that paid homage to those young, brave girls.”
She spoke with co-producers Regina Reńe Lines and Everette Wallin about coming up with a concept that they could then present to Oscar-nominated writer Stephen J. Rivele. “Triangle” is a portrait of time and place, of young immigrants’ struggles and dreams of love, greed, desire and a tragedy that changed America forever.
